Drop Everything And Read Activity
On the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day on April 23, the Library of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram Pratapnagar, Jaipur, organized a special reading initiative titled “Drop Everything And Read” for students of Classes I to XII. As part of this activity, it was mandatory for all students to pause their regular tasks and dedicate 20 minutes to reading a book of their choice.
To further encourage a love for reading, special reading corners were thoughtfully arranged across the campus, including in the school corridors, allowing every student to participate—regardless of where they were at the time.
In continuation of this celebration, students will also read a book of their choice and present a Book Talk during their scheduled library periods, nurturing both a passion for literature and essential communication skills such as articulation, critical thinking, and public speaking.
