Disaster Management and Safety Preparedness

The safety and well-being of students is a foremost priority of the school. In alignment with CBSE guidelines, the school has implemented a comprehensive School Disaster Management Plan (SDMP) to ensure preparedness, prevention, and effective response during emergencies. Mock drills for fire safety, earthquake response, and evacuation are conducted from time to time to reinforce awareness and readiness among students and staff. A well-defined exit and evacuation plan is in place, with clearly marked routes and designated assembly areas. The school is equipped with essential fire safety infrastructure, including fire extinguishers, alarms, and safety signage, which are regularly checked and maintained.

The school focuses on capacity building through trained staff, structured student awareness programmes, and integration of safety education within the curriculum, in line with the NEP 2020 emphasis on life skills. A well-equipped Medical Room (first-aid room) supported by a full-time nurse ensures immediate medical attention when required. The school maintains effective coordination with local fire, police, and medical authorities for emergency support. Periodic safety audits and reviews are conducted to strengthen preparedness measures. Through proactive planning, regular drills, and continuous sensitization, the school remains committed to providing a safe, secure, and disaster-ready learning environment for all students.
