Fire Safety in School
The school accords highest priority to the safety and security of its students, staff, and infrastructure by implementing comprehensive fire safety measures across the campus. Adequate numbers of fire extinguishers are installed at strategic and easily accessible locations in classrooms, corridors, staircases, laboratories, and common areas. All extinguishers are clearly labelled and regularly inspected to ensure they remain functional and ready for use in case of emergencies.
Special attention has been given to fire safety arrangements in the basement area, which is equipped with a well-planned fire safety system including automatic sprinklers and fire hydrants. These installations are designed in accordance with safety norms to enable quick response and effective control in the event of a fire. Clearly marked emergency exits and unobstructed evacuation pathways further enhance preparedness and safe movement during emergencies.
In addition to infrastructure readiness, the school conducts regular fire drills involving both students and staff. These drills are designed to create awareness, build confidence, and train occupants in safe evacuation procedures, proper use of fire extinguishers, and coordinated response during emergencies. Teachers and support staff are trained to guide students calmly and efficiently during such drills.
Through robust infrastructure, preventive measures, and continuous awareness programmes, the school ensures a safe, secure, and well-prepared environment, reinforcing its commitment to student welfare and responsible campus management.
