School Policies
Parents are requested to bear in mind that the school attaches a great importance to build a sound character in students. They are expected to cooperate with the school authorities by making the children understand that a well ordered and disciplned way of life is as important at home as in school. Parents should supervise their studies and take an active interest in school activities.
a. The three Personal Profile pages (1 for office use, 1 for class teacher’s use and 1 to be kept in diary) in the diary are to be filled in and signed by the parents.
b. Parents should note that occasional reports from teachers are made in school diary and they are requested to sign those.
c. Parents are required to sign the document relating to their children when requested.
d. Absence from school even for a day must be noted in the “Student’s Leave Application Form” given in the school diary. If absence lasts for more than three days the application for leave must be sent on a separate sheet and addressed to the Principal by relevant certification of the same only in person/ through
e-mail. No other means of submission of application will be entertained.
e. If a child has an infectious disease, parents should keep the child at home till he / she recovers. Doctor’s prescription, medical certificate and fitness certificate must be submitted on his/ her return to the school.
f. Students who are away from school for five consecutive days without permission, may have their names removed from the register, and will be re – admitted only if there is a vacancy and payment of the admission fee. In all cases of leave or absence prior permission from the Principal should be obtained, except in cases of unforeseen circumstances, for which an authenticated reason should be provided by the parent or guardian. However, the granting of leave is entirely upto the discretion of the Principal.
g. Half day leaves are strictly not permitted. Please do not make any such request.
h. Long leave from school for marriages, vacation, family functions will be sanctioned only by the Principal. If any exam falls during the period of such leaves, then the exam will not be re conducted. Leave from school must NOT be prefixed or suffixed to school holidays, that is summer/ winter holidays. Otherwise, appropriate action will be taken.
i. Parents are welcome to visit the school and meet the teachers with prior permission of the Principal or coordinators and on Parent Teacher Meet. Complaints relating to academics (if any) may be made either to the coordinators or teachers. However, classrooms and school corridors are OUT-OF-BOUNDS for parents during school hours.
j. If parents wish to meet a teacher, they must seek prior written appointment through the school diary and thereafter a consent from the school will be sent to the parent through the child. The parent will then be allowed to meet the teacher on the prescribed date as mentioned in consent form.
k. Parents of Balwadi Students can meet teachers on the working Saturday of the month and parent teacher meet as specified in the academic planner of the scholar’s diary. Parents may meet class teachers in their respective classrooms.
l. The observance of rules of discipline of the school and good behaviour is an essential conditon to a student’s continuance in the school. In case a student violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, strict action like expulsion/ suspension/ restication shall be taken against the student.
m. Students are strictly forbidden to bring or burst crackers or to introduce objectionable literature and other such material into the school. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against the student found doing so.
n. Mobile phones, cameras and all other electronic items/ smart gadgets are totally banned in school. If confiscated, they will not be returned. No appeal for their return will be entertained.
o. Children shall come to school regularly, punctually and dressed neatly. Minimum 75% attendance is necessary for promotion to the next class.
p. Wearing I-CARD is compulsory.
q. Student shall not be indulged in putting up or using the pictures of school or any of the staff members in any way on any social media.
r. No celebrations of birthday in the school in the form of party or distributing expensive gifts or bringing cakes is permitted. Pupils till class V can wear casual dress on their birthday. Class VI onwards students must come in school uniform.
s. Tuitions are not encouraged by the school. However, if for some reasons, the same is required, student should not go to Vidyashram Teachers.
t. School does not encourage receiving of tiffin during the day. If a student has forgotten it, please do not supply the same at school gate/reception.
PLEASE NOTE:
Change in the address or telephone number of parents or guardians must be informed to school in writing without delay. When communicating with the principal, parents are requested to mention in their letters the name, class and section of their child/ children.
Whenever excursions and picnics are organised by the school, maximum participation of students is expected. All outings are under the supervision of school staff.
The school is not responsible for goods lost. Therefore, it is not advisable to bring to school valuable articles like expensive watches, gold or silver ornaments, friendship bands or too much money. Students are also advised not to leave any of the above in class room.
Parents are advised to label the articles such as shoes, blazer, sweater, belt with the name of their ward.
Students are not permitted to wear any jewellery to school (eg. Chains, rings, bangles, bracelets, etc.) Girls may wear one pair of small earrings or studs.
All photographs required by the school or for attestation should be current, passport size and in complete school uniform.
a. Application for Transfer certificate must be made on the prescribed form available from the office. A clear calendar month’s notice of withdrawal from the school must be given. If a child is withdrawn without notice, one month’s school fee as per the school policy will be changed.
b. Those who wish to withdraw their child after completion of the session should apply on or before 15th March of the current session. If the application of Transfer Certificate is submitted after 15th March of the current session then one month’s fee of the following academic session will be charged.
c. Transfer Certificate will be issued only after clearance and no dues certificate being signed by all departments.
d. However, in case of a student of class XI or XII leaving after commencement of the first term, one quarter of school fee shall be payable before applying for a T.C.
a. Student must adhere to the principles of the institution.
b. Communication should be in English in the school premises.
c. He/she must be polite and well-mannered.
d. Child must greet the teachers, parents and elders with Namaskar.
e. Writing on walls and carving out names on desks/ benches/tables/chairs/trees must be avoided.
f. Students are forbidden to purchase any eatables from unauthorised vendors outside or near the school premises.
g. Students are answerable to the school authorities for their conduct in and outside the school. Hence, misbehaviour in public areas and conveyance justifies dismissal. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, objectionable behaviour and, above all, discourtesy and disrespect to teachers are each, a sufficient cause for disciplinary action.
h. The school uniform should be worn tidily and correctly both at school and between home and school.
i. Wearing school tie and I-card is compulsory and shall not be removed in any situation during school hours.
j. Students should refrain themselves from bringing sanitizers, deodrants, etc. to school.
k. Students are not allowed to bring mobiles to the school. Disciplinary action will be taken in case found with a mobile.
l. Student should not collect, borrow and lend money among themselves without the supervision of teachers. In such case, the school shall not be responsible for the money lost or stolen.
m. Students should not use abusive language no matter what the provocation. If found doing so, strict disciplinary action shall be taken.
a. All fees can be paid by Cheque/ Demand draft only.
b. Fee is to be paid by 20th of the first month of each quarter of the academic year i.e. in April, July, October and January between 09.00 am to 01.00 pm by local cheque or through NEFT/ RTGS / Demand Draft. No cash will be accepted.
c. Fees must be paid up to the above mentioned dates to avoid late payment charges. Fine for the late payment of fees will be charged @ Rs. 50/- per day
on a cumulative basis separately for school fee and transportation fee.
d. In case of any cheque being dishonored, an additional charge of Rs. 500/- per dishonored cheque will be levied.
e. If fee is not deposited by the end of the due month, the school holds the authority to strike the child’s name off the rolls and he/she will not be allowed to attend the school.
f. Re-admission will only be given at the discretion of the Principal on the payment of admission fee as per the rules.
g. An amount of Rs. 100/- will be charged for a duplicate report card and Rs. 50/- for a duplicate identity card.
h. If a student loses or misplaces his/her School Diary, it should be reported to the respective Class Manager. A letter from parents with a fine of Rs. 100/- should be submitted to the Class Manager and a new diary will be issued.
i. A fine of Rs. 100/- will be levied for requesting re-issuance of a cheque which has been lost or has outlived its date, as per banking norms or for any other reason.
Realization of Transport Fee:
- Transport Fee will be taken in two quarters (Qtr 1, Qtr 2).
- Late fee will also be charged as per rules after exceeding of the due dates mentioned.
- Transport facility if availed cannot be withdrawn for the term due to administrative reasons.
The school uniform is compulsory for all students from classes LKG to XII. Parents are requested to ensure that their ward comes to school in the correct and complete uniform otherwise strict disciplinary action will be taken against him/her. Kindly refer pg. no. 141 for defaulter record.
For Balwadi – XII (Boys and Girls) –
* FOOTWEAR – Black Liberty Force 10 Shoes – Balwadi to V : Velcro; VI – XII : Laces For III – XII (Boys and Girls) – Grey Belt with two White Stripes (Prescribed by School).
* Balwadi – XII should wear sports uniform on Wednesday.
*All the students should wear I- Card. It is a part of uniform and should be worn everyday.

- If any child is found in incorrect uniform, the correct uniform will be purchased from the school uniform shop and the parent will have to bear the cost of the same.
- Boy’s hair must be short and neatly combed. Clothes must be cleaned and ironed, and shoes must be polished. Mushroom haircut and coloring of hair are not permitted. Senior students must shave regularly. If a boy comes to school unshaven or with long hair, the parent will be called to school to take him for a shave and hair-cut.
- Girls must have their hair neatly tied up in a ponytail or plait with black ribbons or rubber bands. Only black hairbands and clips are permitted.
- The use of kajal(kohl), nail polish, application of henna (mehndi), putting make up or wearing a tattoo are not permitted in any case.
- Students are forbidden to wear expensive sports or leather shoes or any other than the one prescribed by the school otherwise they will be confiscated and will not be returned.
